During this Lenten season, we are invited to follow Jesus into the wilderness. But, in order to edure the isolation and pain that we experience in the wilderness, we need the strength that comes from God’s affirmation that we are His beloved children. Following Jesus in this way is marked by three movements; wilderness, encounter, and return.
