The guards and religious leaders responded with fear, and the women at the tomb who respond with love. He conutunies by saying, the fear of losing something (position, reputation, power, wealth, pleasure, freedom) is often what prevents people from taking true steps of discipleship, and closes by posing this question: What fears of loss have challenged, or are challenging, your next steps with Christ?
